Media Invite: SAHRC’s Mpumalanga Provincial Office will host Human Rights

AWARENESS ROADSHOWS

On 12 – 14 September 2017, the South African Human Rights Commission (“the Commission”) in collaboration with the Public Protector SA (PPSA) Mpumalanga provincial offices will be hosting human rights awareness roadshows in three areas of Dr Prixley Isaka Ka Seme Local Municipality.

The roadshows are centred on the theme: “Strengthening Human Rights Awareness in Rural Areas”.

The roadshows are scheduled to take place as follows:

The roadshows will be a platform to intensify awareness on pertinent issues relating to basic human rights such as access to justice and information, and to also educate communities on the Commission’s child friendly complaints handling procedures. This will also be an opportunity for the Commission to directly interact with members of communities, assist them to register complaints and enquire on the work of the Commission.
