The South African Human Rights Commission (Commission) in collaboration with the Commission for Gender Equality will host of public outreach clinic (17-18 October 2017) in the Moqhaka Local Municipality. The public outreach clinic will be hosted under the theme ‘Amplifying human rights education in rural and farming communities’.
The Commissions aims to strengthen support to affected communities and to find solutions to improve conditions of farming communities. To also guarantee the rights of farm dwellers and neighbouring communities to be treated with humanity and dignity. The outreach engagements are also expected to serve as a platform to amplify awareness on pertinent issues relating to access to justice, Equality Court procedures, child friendly complaints, and access to information.
