SAHRC Advocacy Julina Masimila on SAFM speaking about violence in the Cape flats

They say children in gang-ridden communities become numb to violence at an early age. According to the Chairperson of the Muslim Judicial Council Women`s Forum in Cape Town, the Cape Flats is the heart of violent crime, drug abuse and gender based violence. To highlight the plight a silent march will held on 29 November 2017 in Athlone Stadium on the Cape Flats under the theme "Unsilencing the Violence". In light of the national 16-Days of Activism, on the Forum@8 Sakina Kamwendo shines the spotlight on violence and abuse of women and children in gang-ridden communities with SAHRC Advocacy Julina Masimila, Reverend Mclean Ndabezindle Dlodlo Global advisor at Faith and Gender in Development-World Vision International, Chairperson of the MJC women`s Forum, Mualima Khadija Allie and survivor of gender based violence, Shehaam Aziz.
