SAHRC to visit Cornwall Hill College

Thursday 3 June 2021

PRETORIA - The South African Human Rights Commission is expected to meet with the management of Cornwall Hill College.

This follows reports of racism and lack of transformation.

On Monday, parents and pupils held a peaceful protest at the school.

One of the pupils told the meeting she was told her hair was unpresentable and not the Cornwall style.

Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi was also part of the meeting.

Lesufi thanked parents for standing up for their children.

School principal Leon Kunneke has apologised to all those affected.
