LIMPOPO – “The department vowed to work closely with the South African Human Rights Commission, the national Department of Health and the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in making sure matters like this don’t have space in a democratic SA. Shocking allegations against surgery that “separates patients by race”

A medical surgery in Mokopane, Limpopo, has come under fire from the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) for alleged racism breaching a number of medical ethics codes….
SAHRC provincial manager Victor Mavhidula told News24 that the commission had visited the surgery and found that patients were segregated upon entry, and treated differently based on race.

A white medical practitioner in Mokopane, Limpopo, who is under investigation for racism this week acceded to racially divided consultation rooms at his practice.
This was after an in loco inspection of the doctor's premises by the South African Human Rights Commission this week.
The commission, which started its investigation into the allegations of racism at the doctor's place last month, said their investigation confirmed the racism complaints.
